Overview
PoopToday is designed to help users track bowel movements and related wellness habits while keeping information under the user's control. We do not operate a cloud backend for user logs, and we do not sell personal data.
Information You Provide
Depending on how you use the app, PoopToday may store information that you choose to enter, including:
- Bowel movement timestamps
- Stool consistency and Bristol-style details
- Optional notes
- Optional location labels that you type yourself
- Daily journal answers about hydration, diet, lifestyle, stress, substances, and digestion
- Onboarding preferences and app settings, such as reminder choices
How Information Is Stored
- Bowel movement logs are stored locally on your device using Core Data.
- Journal entries, question preferences, onboarding choices, and reminder settings are stored locally on your device using UserDefaults.
- Based on the current app implementation, this information is not uploaded to our servers.
Notifications
If you enable reminders, PoopToday requests permission to schedule local notifications on your device. Notification scheduling is handled on-device through Apple's notification framework.
Subscriptions
PoopToday uses Apple's StoreKit framework to offer and restore subscriptions. Purchase processing, billing, and related transaction handling are performed by Apple.
Data Sharing
We do not sell your personal data. Based on the current app implementation, we do not share bowel movement logs, journal entries, notes, or reminder settings with third-party analytics providers, advertisers, or data brokers.
Data Export
You can export your bowel movement log data from the Settings section. Exports are generated as CSV files on your device and remain under your control unless you choose to share them.
